Cacophonia’s Corner

The database was restored which (for those of you who don’t know wordpress) means that all information that used to be on this site overwrote the new site.  So while it’s great that I have all those old posts and stuff it also means I have to go through and fix broken images and upload the new posts as well.  If I don’t get it done tonight I’ll finish it tomorrow.  Then I’ll hopefully be able to design the site more successfully without breaking the comics like last time.  Then do something else I’m supposed to do…yeah…

Yay, new update and a special thanksgiving update!  I know, I amaze myself with how much I give you dear readers.  It’s a blessing and a curse really.  What can I say?  The newest update is in the comics category and the thanksgiving one is in a new category called random.  That’s where all the ifbits are going to be moved to make the archives easier to go through.  Now that those are up it’s time to work on what comes next, good thing I have an overnight shift tomorrow, plenty of time to work.

I hope that everyone out there enjoys Thanksgiving, hopefully with your family if possible and if you get along with them.  I’ll be in Maryland getting together with relatives I don’t see very often, it should be fantastic.  Interestingly there will be four generations there from my grandfather to my cousin’s son, which is pretty cool.  Aside from seeing my aunt, uncle and cousins I’m really excited about the meal we’ll have tomorrow.  Mostly the pumpkin pie.  That’s like crack to me.  Mmmmmm pumpkin pie.

Yeah, got sick…again.  This time it’s a nastier cold, or maybe my immune system’s still tired from fighting the last one.  Anyways, as much as I want to work on the updates, all I’m capable of currently is sleeping and rewatching Heroes.  Real work will have to wait another day or two until I can concentrate.  However, during a ridiculously long shift at work I churned out this hot mess. I just have to turn it into trannie fierceness and then wait for the right time to put it up.

Anyways, hopefully I’ll stay healthy for a little longer this time.  Maybe a bagel will help…

So the comic’s in the works, it’ll be up at some point.  And the next one is penciled so we’re making real progress here.  Now, as long as I can get all the work that my teacher’s are throwing at me done in a reasonable amount of time, there should be no problems.  That and me not having to work crazy shifts.

So I got to go see Dir en Grey last Tuesday.  I want to say that it was awesome and incredible.  I’d like to say that.  But those words don’t quite capture the feelings that I have about that show.  I think if I said that if Dir en Grey handed me a gun and told me to shoot one of my friends, I would do it without hesitation.  I think that could almost compare with my love for the band and how amazing I thought the show was.  Before the show I knew that Kyo was a performer, that he was going to be a big part of the show.  I didn’t know how well he could capture your attention and keep it.  Watch any music video or live performance by them on youtube and you’ll see what I mean.  Not to say that the rest of the band was lousy.  They were at once lost in their own music and the music they created all together and Toshiya (bass) would occassionally engage the audience, though I’m sure that we were all too wrapped up in the music and our enjoyment to be able to engage in anything else.

I guess what I’m trying to say here is that the concert was beyond awesome or amazing and it ranks up there with the other concerts I’ve gone to and considered the best.

As a heads up, there may possibly be some changes happening in the next few weeks around here.  Maybe.  I really can’t say much because it’s very super secret stuff.  But there might be some changes to the design and layout of this comic and another comic not to scare you or anything.  Really.  Don’t panic.  The majority of things are under control.  Keep your eyes peeled for changes, they might be so tiny you won’t see them at first.  But I’ve said too much already.  Time to go and fill a tub with marshmallows and mollasses and teach my cats to swim.
